The Star of India
One of our family’s favorite restaurants, though you’ve got to like Indian food. We go here every new years day, and for birthdays, etc. On St Catherine near St. Mathieu.

Au Pied de Couchon
This is a must visit. Authentic Quebecois fare, incredibly meat oriented. Do not bring vegetarians. All sorts of game, you will never go to another place like this. Foie gras to die for. Bring your lipitor.

You will need to take a short taxi ride. Make reservations a couple of days before, you will never get a place by walking in, it is full every night.

A great place to go if someone else is paying. Pricy. Great location in the heart of Old Montreal. Simply excellent food, service. May turn out to be more than $100.00 each including wine. Can book online.
